About GV+Architects
We are definitely in favour ...
... ... of a contemporary architecture in accordance with its time and with the aesthetic currents of today;
...of a pragmatic architecture that respects the constraints of each case;
...of an architecture without the imposing weight of the authors and where the sharing with the clients is a factor of creativity;
...of an architecture that respects traditions but does not copy them;
...of sustainable architecture, where well-being is holistic and embraces both environment and people;
...of an architecture close to the landscape and to the people who will enjoy it;
...of a humanist architecture that respects function and experience as much as aesthetics;
...of an architecture that knows how to listen so that those who live it may be happy.
We are definitely against...
...having to write a mission statement that can say a lot and result in nothing, because what matters is our ability to respond to clients, making their dreams come true and materialising their objectives;
...define values beyond the obvious - honesty, truth, transparency, rigour, which we honour every day as our clients confirm;
...that form should take precedence over function because what matters is the capacity for daring balance;
...the poetization of architecture, because the final work has only one meaning, the one that the client wanted and that we were able to achieve in harmony.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Always go further in creativity, without jeopardising the objectives.
Advise and not impose because the most important thing is trust.
Accept only what we believe is doable, because without rules there is no efficiency.
Do not work without first defining a budget so as not to create the impossible.

GONÇALO NOBRE DA VEIGA
Founder
A degree in architecture, a spell in Italy and an MBA set the tone for a life of entrepreneurship, creativity and the ability to go further.
A life full of professional challenges that began in Portugal, at Novodesign designing shops and stands, and then at Intergaup, where he was responsible for monitoring Banco Comercial Português' projects, which soon invited him to take charge of the Angolan operation.
It was in Angola, after having been responsible for the technical department of one of the largest Angolan construction companies, Siccal, that his entrepreneurial spirit led him to take a risk and set up his own architectural practice.
And to overcome the difficulties inherent in construction in a country with a lack of qualified labour, nothing better than forming your own teams and thus setting up a construction company dedicated to medium-sized works.
Then it was just a matter of replicating the experience in Portugal, giving continuity to the Architectural Office and opening a company especially dedicated to construction and remodelling.
His methodical, focused, competitive spirit does not prevent him from falling in love with the projects to which he dedicates himself with the same intensity as he does sport.
